“Denmark, Norway and Iceland join together to form a joint Nordic patent institute which is to be placed in Taastrup near Copenhagen. The new institute means that Danish companies do not have to apply to a foreign institute when they wish to apply for patents in several countries through the international system PCT. The institute is expected to be approved as a Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) authority in September."
