Referendum quide

Court The Hague, KG ZA 05-479, 27 April 2005, The Stichting Instituut voor Publiek en Politiek versus the Stichting Vrijplaats Koppenhinksteeg.

Referendum guide: Protection of a website as if it were a format.
"Claimant furthermore argues that the advice instruments developed by claimant, under the names “stemwijzer” (vote guide) and “referendumwijzer” (referendum guide), enjoy copyright protection, similar to the copyright protection awarded to developed book plots and TV-formats. It is correct that whereas a worthy idea, style or method cannot enjoy copyright protection, the concrete and detailed development of a concept thereof with its own unique structure and composition of elements can in fact enjoy copyright protection. According to the interlocutory judgement the so-called vote guide and referendum guide can be considered to be copyright protected works in that sense." Read the judgement here.
