Voor wie het gratis tijdschrift Mr. niet heeft ontvangen. De foto’s van de IEForum.nl Wereld IE Dag Borrel in de society-rubriek van het blad staan ook online. De titel en het stukje over ‘op verantwoorde wijze gedeponeerde producten’ is wat curieus, maar het is in ieder geval vastgelegd dat iedereen er was.

In aansluiting op dit eerdere bericht nog even kort de tijd en locatie van het symposium rond de presentatie van het boek "Marktonderzoek in de Rechtszaal". De bijeenkomst zal worden gehouden in theater de Flint, Amersfoort, beginnen om 10.00 uur en eindigen om 17.00 uur. Kosten zijn inclusief boek & lunch en exclusief BTW.
Naast de auteur, dr. Harry van den Berg, zal er o.a. worden gesproken door mevr. Mr. S.A. Rullmann (Vice-president Rechtbank Amsterdam), mr. Tobias Cohen Jehoram (De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek), Drs. Wouter de Bruin (Campina /voorzitter FNLI) en dr. Lex Olivier (Research International / Efamro). De paneldiscussie zal worden gevoerd onder leiding van Prof. mr. Charles Gielen (NautaDutilh). De dagvoorzitter is Hans Voorberg, vice-president legal affairs Sara Lee International B.V. Het boek zal worden aangeboden aan mr. Th. Groeneveld (Raad voor de Rechtspraak).

De boel is weer aan kant en de conclusie is dat de IEForum.nl Wereld IE DAG Borrel 2007 een groot succes was. Met zo’n 200 gasten was het aardig vol in en rond het prachtige kantoor van Klos Morel Vos & Schaap, de gastheren en –vrouwen van dit jaar. De band was geweldig, er is, onder voorbehoud van rechten, geen onvertogen woord gevallen en de ie-drankjes en de ie-hapjes zijn vrijwel schoon opgegaan, net als de buttons (verzamel ze allemaal!) en de portretrechtboeken. Naast Klos Morel Vos & Schaap en uitgeverij deLex gaat onze bijzondere dank uit naar iedereen (en met name Anita, Claudia, Maria, Eldert & Annelies) die zich heeft ingezet en zonder wie het allemaal niet mogelijk en nooit zo gezellig zou zijn geweest. Tot volgend jaar!
En er zal best allemaal belangwekkend IE nieuws zijn, maar daar is helaas vandaag geen tijd voor vandaag, op Wereld IE Dag 2007.
De laatste voorbereidingen voor de IEForum.nl Wereld IE Dag Borrel zijn in volle gang, de IE-gerelateerde hapjes en drankjes zijn gearriveerd, de IE-band heeft de instrumenten klaargezet (er mag meegejamd worden!), de lucht is strakblauw, de merchandise ligt klaar en al 150 bezoekers hebben zich aangemeld om den ten kantore van Klos Morel Vos & Schaap in het lommerrijke Amsterdam Oud-Zuid Wereld IE Dag te komen vieren.
De borrel heeft plaats van 5 tot ongeveer 8 uur. Geen speeches, geen lezingen, geen powerpoint-presentaties en geen dress-code, aanmelden (kan nog net, per email), een stapeltje visistekaartje bij u te steken en een beetje gezellig te doen. Voor napleiten is alle ruimte, dus vergeet die sterke verhalen ook vooral niet.

Vandaag is het Unesco´s World Book and Copyright Day (niet te verwarren met Wipo´s Wereld IE Dag (aanmelden voor de IEForum-borrel kan hier)). “By celebrating this Day throughout the world, UNESCO seeks to promote reading, publishing and the protection of intellectual property through copyright.
23 April: a symbolic date for world literature for on this date and in the same year of 1616, Cervantes, Shakespeare and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega all died. It is also the date of birth or death of other prominent authors such as Maurice Druon, K. Laxness, Vladimir Nabokov, Josep Pla and Manuel Mejía Vallejo. It was a natural choice for UNESCO's General Conference to pay a world-wide tribute to books and authors on this date, encouraging everyone, and in particular young people, to discover the pleasure of reading and gain a renewed respect for the irreplaceable contributions of those who have furthered the social and cultural progress of humanity.
The idea for this celebration originated in Catalonia where on 23 April, Saint George's Day, a rose is traditionally given as a gift for each book sold. The success of the World Book and Copyright Day will depend primarily on the support received from all parties concerned (authors, publishers, teachers, librarians, public and private institutions, humanitarian NGOs and the mass media), who have been mobilized in each country by UNESCO National Commissions, UNESCO Clubs, Centres and Associations, Associated Schools and Libraries, and by all those who feel motivated to work together in this world celebration of books and authors.”

Hopelijk is hij zelf ook van de partij op de IEForum.nl Wereld IE Dag Borrel (donderdag 26 april a.s, aanmelden kan hier), maar anders zullen we het moeten doen met de jaarlijks message van WIPO roerganger Dr. Kamil Idris:
